Dr. Tracey Lichner has over 20 years of experience treating individuals with all types of anxiety, as well as OCD, PTSD, and prolonged grief.  

Prior to graduate school, Dr. Lichner worked as a research assistant for Dr. Aaron Beck, founder of cognitive therapy, at the University of Pennsylvania.  After earning her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Catholic University in Washington, DC, she began her career on an OCD genetics project at Johns Hopkins University, where she conducted clinical assessments for hundreds of individuals and families impacted by OCD. She then served as a clinician and Director of Supervision and Dissemination for almost 10 years with Dr. Edna Foa, a pioneer in OCD and PTSD treatment and research, at University of Pennsylvania’s Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety.  

In Minnesota, as the founding clinical director of Rogers Behavioral Health in Minneapolis, she helped guide the development of a number of partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient clinical programs, including Adult and Child/Adolescent Anxiety & OCD, PTSD, Eating Disorders, and Depression. Dr. Lichner has treated numerous individuals seeking relief from their symptoms, mentored early-career therapists, and conducted international trainings and consultations for experienced therapists.

At CBT Solutions, Dr. Lichner has personally trained staff therapists in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and provides oversight and regular consultation on all client cases.
